Why start for free at all
Free play solves exactly one problem: mechanics. Before risking any money, it helps to know what a betting round looks like, where the fold button is, what happens on an all-in, and how to read the board. After a couple of weeks like that, real money stops feeling scary.

The limitation of play money
It's important to understand: with play money, people go all-in with anything, because they have nothing to lose. That teaches mechanics — not strategy. If you stay there for months, you'll pick up bad habits that will cost you real money later.
When to move to real money
Signs you're ready: you know the hand ranking without thinking, you fold bad hands even when it's boring, and you can explain why you made every action. Then move to the lowest limits with a bankroll of 30–50 buy-ins.
Freerolls — the way to play for free on real money
A freeroll is a tournament with no entry fee and real prizes. Our club members get weekly freerolls, and that's the cleanest way to move from free to real without depositing a single shekel.
