A plan, not a dream
The idea of "starting with $100 and reaching $10,000" is all over YouTube, but without a roadmap it isn't realistic. The rule: never jump to a limit before you have 30 clean buy-ins, and don't stay on a limit where you haven't seen monthly profit for 3 straight months.
Stage 1 — $100 to $300 (NL2 → NL5)
- Starting limit: NL2 (blinds $0.01/$0.02, buy-in $2)
- Buy-ins required: 50 = a full $100
- Goal: accumulate 30 NL5 buy-ins ($150), meaning $250 in your pocket
- Frequency: 4 hours a day, 5 days a week
- Tables: 2-4 simultaneously
- Expected time: 4-6 weeks with a basic win rate (5-8 BB/100)
Stage 2 — $300 to $1000 (NL10 → NL25)
- Move to NL10 once you have 30 buy-ins = $300
- Drop back to NL5 if you fall to 20 buy-ins ($200)
- Players at NL10 are sharper — rakeback starts to matter
- Start working with PokerCraft and review 20 hands after every session
- Expected time: a realistic 2-4 months
Stage 3 — $1000 to $3000 (NL25 → NL50)
- At this stage, GGPoker's Fish Buffet starts giving a meaningful return
- Invest 30-45 minutes a week in theoretical study (solvers, ranges)
- Maintain a strict stop-loss: 3 buy-ins per day maximum
- Avoid moving up a limit just because "I have the money today"
Stage 4 — $3000 and above (NL100 and up)
At this stage the graph stops being linear — variance grows. The method: a minimum of 40 buy-ins per limit, weekly review with a coach or a community, and active psychological management. A PokerGG.co.il player who reaches this level also gains access to closed tournaments and a higher effective rakeback through the club.
