What is Fish Buffet?
Fish Buffet is GGPoker's official loyalty program. Instead of a static rakeback, players accumulate Fish Points on every hand they play, and rise through tiers that grant an increasing percentage of return. At the highest tiers, this can reach up to 60% effective rakeback.
The 6 tiers — from Plankton to Whale
The program is built like a pyramid. The more you play, the higher your tier climbs, and the return on each "coin" grows exponentially.
- Plankton — starting tier, 1x multiplier
- Shrimp — 1.5x
- Squid — 2x
- Octopus — 4x
- Shark — 6x
- Whale — 10x (up to 60% effective return)
How exactly do you earn points?
For every dollar of rake paid, a player earns 100 Fish Points. Points accumulate over a period (monthly). Once your tier rises, the percentage stays fixed for that month. Important: points reset at the end of each period, so heavy players benefit from playing a full continuous month.
Honey Bonus and All-In Insurance — extra perks
Beyond Fish Buffet, GGPoker offers two additional unique return mechanisms:
- Honey Bonus — automatic rakeback that unlocks every 15 minutes of active play
- All-in Insurance — optional insurance against bad beats in cash games
- Fish Buffet Leaderboards — weekly points tournaments with prizes
- Smart HUD — built into the account, no need for PokerTracker
