What is a satellite tournament?
A satellite is a tournament whose prizes are not cash but Seats/Tickets into a larger target tournament — usually with a buy-in far higher than the satellite's own cost. For example: 20 players pay a small fee, and the top 2 receive a ticket worth 10x the satellite cost. The logic: players who can't or don't want to pay a high buy-in directly can "climb" to it cheaply through a series of small wins.
The key difference from a regular tournament: in a regular event every chip is worth something (with diminishing returns as stacks grow), but in a satellite there's a hard threshold — once you've locked a ticket, extra chips are worth almost nothing. This changes the entire strategy.
