The Flop refers to the first three community cards dealt simultaneously, face-up, at the center of the table. It follows the pre-flop betting round and is often the most pivotal street in a hand, as it establishes the texture of the board and how it interacts with players' hole cards. The flop dictates a significant portion of strategic decisions and often determines the trajectory of the hand, leading to substantial shifts in equity and playability.
