Full explanation — Full House
A full house, also commonly known as a 'boat,' is a highly ranked poker hand composed of three cards of one rank (a set or trips) and two cards of another rank (a pair). For instance, three Kings and two Queens would constitute a full house. When two players both have a full house, the hand with the higher-ranked three-of-a-kind determines the winner. If the three-of-a-kind ranks are the same, the higher-ranked pair breaks the tie. Full houses are formidable hands, often winning large pots, but awareness of even stronger hands like quads or a straight flush is still necessary.
