PFR, or Pre-Flop Raise, is a critical HUD statistic representing the percentage of hands where a player initiates a raise before the community cards are dealt. When considered alongside VPIP, the difference between these two statistics reveals valuable insights into a player's pre-flop strategy. A large gap between VPIP and PFR suggests a player frequently enters pots with cold calls rather than raises, indicating a passive or 'calling station' tendency. Conversely, a PFR close to VPIP implies an aggressive player who prefers to enter pots with a raise, demonstrating strength and initiative.

A player with VPIP 25% / PFR 20% is relatively aggressive, opening with a raise most of the time they enter a pot.
