What is Squeeze Play in poker?

A squeeze play is a powerful 3-bet made after an initial player has opened and at least one other player has called. This maneuver exerts pressure on both the original raiser, who fears the caller might have a strong hand, and the caller, who fears the original raiser's strength. It effectively exploits the uncertainty of both opponents, often causing them to fold marginal holdings. Squeezes are particularly profitable in games with passive players who frequently call raises with weak ranges, allowing you to pick up the pot uncontested with a relatively wide range. Proper sizing is critical to maximize fold equity.
