FAQ about learning
Everything you wanted to know before you start
How long does it take to learn poker properly?
Fundamentals (Levels 1–2) take 2–6 weeks of steady practice. A winning micro-stakes strategy (Level 3) takes 3–6 months. Pro level requires years of volume, review and solver work. PokerGG’s personal support shortens the curve significantly.
Do I have to pay to learn?
No. Every guide on PokerGG is completely free: rules, range charts, GTO, ICM, plus play-vs-AI and the odds calculator. Personal support is reserved for club members who register through us on ClubGG.
Do I need a math background?
No formal background is required — but comfort with percentages, fractions and Expected Value speeds things up. We build the math tools you need through the guides.
When can I move up a level?
When your win-rate at the current level is positive over 50,000+ hands (cash) or 200+ tournaments (MTT). Skipping levels without a real sample size leads to losses and moving back down.
What’s the best format for beginners?
Rush & Cash NLH at $0.02/$0.05 — relatively low variance, 24/7 traffic, 6-max tables and fold-to-next automation that shortens the curve. After 20,000 hands, try a small MTT.
Does PokerGG offer personal coaching?
Yes — as part of membership, club members get hand reviews in Hebrew or English, leak diagnosis and a personal study plan. WhatsApp support end-to-end.
